Among the dough creatures that haunt the forests of my imagination, the nerdy gypsies of the Black Moth Super Rainbow are one of the best psyche-mellow wizards I have ever listened to. I discovered them on a trip to the Smoothie House in San Francisco, where I also had the opportunity to hangout with the geniuses behind Encyclopedia Pictura... since then, I'm hooked to the fairy-tale sounds & psychedelic visual arts of these pennsylvania - california duds.
Black Moth Super Rainbow is a five piece "mushroom-pop" band whose members go by aliases like Tobacco, Power Pill Fist, Iffernaut, Father Hummingbird & The Seven Fields Of Aphelion (más comeflor y màs chingón... no creo). Armed with an arsenal of vintage keyboards (monosynths, polysynths, mellotrons, rhodeses and more), they came marching from the deepest woods of Pennsylvania to blow our minds with a feast of Psychedelic Mellow Tripped Out Sounds!... and for that I Love Them!
